So much to eat, so much to see, so much to buy and even more stuff to eat!!!! The Granville Island Public Market is a fabulous place to have lunch and shop.  We went to have lunch.  The options were overwhelming.  I had an excellent spanakopita plate.  My friends had lentil soups and salads from a different vendor.  There is every kind of food from fresh dragonfruit to local cheeses to pastries to chocolates.  The area in the market is enclosed and very clean.  There is some seating inside, but most of it is outside which has the problem of bird droppings on the tables.  Most, if not all, the vendors are cashless.

After lunch, we wandered around the many shops in the area.  My friend bought beads to make earrings; I bought silk for crocheting; another of our group bought a book.  The most interesting store is the broom store which features hand-made brooms of all sizes.  There is a gallery of indigenous art and there is an area where an artist has space to work on totem poles.  It would be easy to spend the day on the Island.  

We heard parking was a challenge.  Taking the bus seemed slow from where we were, so we took a Lyft.
