I have wanted to take the ferry to Coronado for a long time.  I don't enjoy driving on the bridge.  Too scary.  We bought tickets online from the Flagship Ferry site on FareHarbor.com.  It is $9 per person one way.  The tickets can be uploaded to AppleWallet.  We parked downtown in a public lot across from the Westin.  It was about four blocks to Broadway Pier.  The ferry leaves on the hour, quite punctually.

In Coronado, we took a nice walk down to The Henry for brunch.  The walk was a bit over a mile.  Brunch was excellent.  I had perfect eggs Benedict and my friend had avocado toast.  Although the place was busy, the service was very good.  We sat outside and it was so nice.  (Be advised that there is also a location in Carlsbad.)

We walked along the beach and then headed back toward the ferry.  We stopped at Tartine.  This is a wonderful cafe.  We split an excellent lemon meringue tart.

The ferry offers great views of the two aircraft carriers in port, as well as nice views of San Diego downtown.  It also stops at the San Diego Convention Center pier.
