Donut Bar in downtown San Diego

I'm not ashamed to say I went to Donut Bar every morning I had business in San Diego last week.  I wanted to try everything!!!  I had a cappuccino and a donut.  The cappuccino was great.  The donuts were fabulous.  They are big, but because they are very fresh, they don't have that heavy, oily taste many donuts have.  The flavors I had were lemon pistachio (pictured above); Nutella glaze and creme brulee.  They were perfect with the bitter cappuccino.

They have a large outdoor patio.  It was a bit cold the mornings I was there, so I sat at the tables inside the very nice office building.  I was sticky! Fortunately, there is a restroom next to the station for the building doorman.  

Apparently, they have an alcohol-forward afternoon happy hour!  Sounds promising.
