Maritime Boat Club, San Francisco, CA

 This was hard to find!  The  Maritime Boat Club is behind Bar Maritime and above the Palihotel.  There is almost no signage on the street for the restaurant, bar or hotel.  You really have to know it is there!  The menu is small and fully focused on seafood.  They are best known for "The Kraken", which is an enormous raw seafood tower.  Some in our group don't eat raw seafood, so we got individual entrees.  We started with bread and butter.  I had a lovely grilled sea bass.  Everyone was super pleased with their meal.  

We had already gone out for drinks, so we skipped the cocktails.  They did look good!

There are some non-seafood items, including a vegetarian risotto.

It is a great restaurant!  It is close to Union Square.  They need street-level signs, because nobody is going to walk in!  We were there on a Saturday night and the place was not even close to being full.
