Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, CA

The highlight of my stay at the Fairmont Hotel was "Cirque".  This little coffee shop is located off the lobby.  The room is decorated by the most delightful murals created by California artist Margaret Bruton.  They are a treat!  I started each morning with a flaky croissant and coffee, which I enjoyed while admiring the circus scenes.

The Fairmont has a very grand lobby and charming little garden in the back of the lobby.  I enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunrise.  It offers a nice view of the financial district and Bay.  The main restaurant is beautiful and also has some charming murals of gardens.  It all feels very grand and special.  My room was big and had a very nice bathroom.  I had an incredible view of Coit Tower, the Bay and Russian Hill.

The Fairmont is a great place to stay in San Francisco.  It is at the "top" of California Street and Mason.  Everything is downhill from there!  Cable cars run up and down California Street and there is a stop steps from the hotel.  I took a cable car back from lunch at the Ferry Building.

The Fairmont has a gym, which I didn't have time to visit.  It is also home to The Tonga Room, which will get its own post.
