Elephant Valley in the San Diego Safari Park

 We went to the event on Sunday for members.  It was early access to the new Elephant Valley at the Safari Park.  It is a great addition to the park.  The elephants have a much bigger area with a nice pond.  There is much more shade.  The old enclosure is still there, so the elephants can be shifted from area to area.  

There is also a new path that connects the area near the carousel with the start of Elephant Valley.

Another exciting feature is another restaurant adjacent to Elephant Valley.  This is a very large restaurant with an upstairs bar.  The view is great.  It hasn't opened yet, but it is a much needed addition.  Very exciting!  

Elephant Valley opened to the general public today, March 5th, 2026.
