Rancho de Chimayo, Chimayo, NM

 We were there for its 60th anniversary!  That's a long time for a restaurant!  The food is excellent and is classic New Mexican cuisine.  The salsas were especially vibrant.  It is a large, beautiful place with several gifts shops selling pottery, kitchen items and tiles.  I had chicken with a chili/cheese sauce.  It was delicious and filling.  I had a flan for dessert, which I forgot to photograph.  My friends were very happy with the generous portions.  A restaurant that has been around for 60 years is definitely doing something right.  It is located a short drive from the church.
