Brunch at Valley, Sonoma, CA

After a morning of hiking at the Jack London State Park, we were so looking forward to brunch.  We were lucky to get a table at Valley, on the main square of Sonoma.

The food was wonderful.  I had the poached eggs over Turkish-style lentils.  The lentils were pleasantly spicy with urfa (a smoky Turkish pepper).  The fresh herbs added a bright fresh note.  My friend had crispy rice with ample Dungeness crab and avocado.

Our meals were very filling.  We finished everything and were well fortified for the afternoon.  There is plenty of parking along the side streets.  (Parking on the square fills up quickly.). We chose to sit inside, but there is a patio, as well.

If you are in the Sonoma area, this is a not-to-miss place.
