Resurrection Bay Tour with Fox Island, leaving from Seward, AK

 Some of our group wanted to kayak.  They took a morning kayaking trip with Sunny Cove.  A boat takes kayakers to nearby Fox Island.  The kayaking is around the coves of Fox Island and was led by a naturalist.  This experience got rave reviews.  The adventure ended at Fox Island, which has a cafe.  I took a tour leaving at noon with Kenai Fjords Tours.  This took me to Fox Island to have lunch with the rest of the group.  The afternoon tour, we all took, focused on the beautiful coves of Resurrection Bay.  We saw two types of puffins, a kittiwake rookery, seals, sea lions, Dall porpoises and a humped back whale.  The scenery is stunning!

The sit-down lunch on Fox Island was nice.  We had soup/salad and a few minutes to enjoy the island.  A woman at Sunny Cove helped us make the arrangements, so the two groups to meet up.

These short boat tours are a great way to see Alaska!  It was very comfortable and it was so helpful to have many eyes doing the wildlife spotting.

The boat got in promptly at 5 PM.  Within minutes, we were having dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant.
