Cocina de Barrio in Encinitas, CA

 We went to the new Cocina de Barrio location in Encinitas.  We started with cocktails.  They have many mezcal-based drinks.  (Mezcal is my spirit animal).  We had tableside-made guacamole, which was excellent.  We both had "mole" dishes.  The "mole" was very rich and tasty, but could have been spicier.  the sides of rice, roasted carrots and maiz molido (hominy corn)  in guiso were especially good. This is a spacious, attractive restaurant with plenty of parking.
