The Tailor's Son, San Francisco
My two winter comfort foods are ramen and risotto. The Tailor's Son in Pac Heights is a perfect risotto destination. We started with some great zero-proof cocktails and the house foccacia. I had the risotto milanese with osso bucco. This was so rich, creamy and incredibly satisfying. Another one of the group had risotto with squash - another very filing and delicious dish. There was another risotto milanese and a pasta maltagliati. It was a wonderful first winter meal. It was cool outside and already dark. The meal was warming and relaxing.
The addition of the osso bucco was fabulous
Delicata squash with plenty of sage
The restaurant is bright, spacious and was bustling with holiday energy.
