A New Spot in Solana Beach, CA

 I love the Cedros Design District.  It is a compact shopping area that is especially good for home decor.  I particularly enjoy Solo and David Allan.  Happily, there are more restaurants on the area now.  We stopped  at Madeleine Cafe for a quick lunch.  It has a nice French-inspired menu and patio seating along the sidewalk.  

My friend had avocado toast and I had a tartine Provencal.  Mine was delicious with artichokes, red peppers and goat cheese on toast.  We had iced jasmine tea and iced black tea.  It was a perfect shopping break meal!  We split a lemon pastry and were very pleased.  In addition to croissants and desserts, there are some groceries for sale.  I bought a tube of chestnut puree to put on some home-made cookies.  

The Cafe has a nice breakfast menu with crepes, omelettes and more.  It would be perfect for brunch or a bite after a run on the beach.
