Godfrey Hotel, River North Chicago

 The Godfrey Hotel is fine hotel in a great location.  The best thing is the rooftop lounge.  It is on the fourth floor and is the best rooftop bar I've seen.  It is huge with indoor and outdoor spaces.  There is a full bar and they offer a cocktail flight (gasp of excitement!).  We were a small group, so a flight of five was too much.  I ordered the amethyst.  This was a strong, deep purple gin cocktail and was amazing.  We went before dinner, so we didn't eat, but the menu looked great.  The view is excellent!  There were lots of groups of people having a blast.  It was a high energy vibe and the decor was very stylish.
