Fork & Plow Lavender Farm in Aguanga, CA

We had a fun morning picking lavender at Fork & Plow Lavender

This little farm has great views of the area, goats, chickens and a shop.  Advanced tickets are required.  We arrived at 9 AM to beat the heat.  Harvesting lavender is very easy.  Scissors are a handy tool to trim the long stalks down to the leaf line.  A $10 ticket gets you a small bunch and it took us about 15 minutes to harvest.  There are plenty of shady spots with chairs and benches for a break.  The shop includes items made from the farm's own distillery.  We came home with cookies, lavender extract and a pillow spray.  The shop has many more items, such as soaps, honey and cleaning products.  There is cold lemonade for purchase.

There are lots of bees!  They had to be gently nudged off the lavender bushes.

In the fall there is sunflower picking!

The farm is about 20 minutes from downtown Temecula.  There are several farm stands along the way.  It was a pretty drive.
