El Jefe in the Saguaro Hotel, Palm Springs

 El Jefe is in the Saguaro Hotel, which leans heavily into the mid-century modern esthetic.  We watched several people poses by the pool side.  The rainbow paint job makes a bold background.

The restaurant has moved to the patio near the pool.  It offers a good selection of cocktails, wine and beer, as well as a menu that has many Mexican offerings.  I had the house margarita and a grilled cheese sandwich with house-made chorizo.  Very good.  It is a fine place for drinks or a light meal.
