Tartine in Coronado, CA

We found this, by chance, parking to visit Centennial Park in Coronado.  Despite the pictures, Tartine is a cafe/restaurant, not just a bakery.  We stopped in for afternoon iced teas and pastries and were so pleased we came back for lunch the next day.  There was ample outdoor seating, so we didn't have to wait for a table.  My first dessert was a ricotta tart with a pistachio sable base.  Excellent.  My friends had lemon poundcake and the berry cobbler.  We returned for a lunch of salads and panini.  New day, new dessert - so, I had the Pavlova, which was ample with a classic meringue base, cream and an abundance of fresh fruit.

It is also a bistro in the evening.  Based on the quality of our meals, it seems like a good place to try for dinner.
