There are right in downtown Corona Del Mar and well worth a visit.
The Sherman Library and Gardens offers a shady respite on a hot day and a lovely cafe, as well. You can see it all in about one hour. The library features an exhibit about the early days of Orange County. The founder was Arnold D. Haskell, but he named the Gardens in honor of his mentor, M.H. Sherman. That's very nice! The gardens feature roses, bromeliads, palms, succulents, a very old pepper tree and more. Lunch is served on a charming patio next to a fountain.
