I thought I wrote about the legendary Sunday brunch in the Crown Room. I should have taken more pictures! It is a $95 extravaganza of mimosas, a carving station, seafood, crepes, Mexican food, salads, omeletes to order - almost anything you can imagine. I've been three times and there are always different offerings. They always have a unique cocktail too. It was a hibiscus margarita last weekend and their signature Bloody Mary. It is especially great for seafood lovers or people who haven't tried many kinds of seafood. There are king crab legs, oysters, mussels, several presentations of shrimp and several fish dishes. It's a great place to try your first oyster.
The Crown Room is magnificent and the service is attentive. It may seem pricey, but you won't need another meal for the rest of the day. It is only served on Sunday. Afterwards, you can enjoy a walk along the beach. A San Diego treasure!
