Campo at Los Poblanos, Albuquerque

This was probably my second best meal of the whole year!  Campo is the restaurant at Los Poblanos, an inn that offers a farm experience on a historic property.  We all thought the food was exceptional!  It was unfussy food with an imaginative take.  Many of the dishes feature local produce such as blue corn, prickly pear, hatch chiles and more.  They are part of a project to help preserve blue corn as an heirloom crop.  I could eat here every day!

The location is charming.  The restaurant is in a rustic building with beautiful lighting and decor.  We arrived at night and couldn't see the farm.  We were so intrigued, we came back the next day to look at the lavender fields, visit the farm store and see the alpacas.  We also saw two sandhill cranes prancing around in the fields.

This honeycake was amazing!  Very light and creamy

Yes, I put dessert first!

We loved Campo so much we returned in October of 2025.  They have expanded the patio area and the food is just as good!  We had dinner and then brunch the next weekend.  I bought some pretty notecards and some smoked salt from their farm store.  The smoked salt was flagged as a suspicious item by TSA, but it was cleared after being swabbed for explosives.  The Los Poblanos farm store is opening a branch in the ABQ airport.  They have a lot of nice items, such as lavender sugar, cheeses, cookbooks and more.
