River Walk in Durango, CO

We began the River Walk in Durango at the Botanical Garden.  The Garden is adjacent to the library and has near signs about the plants on display.  It is small and just takes a quick walk-through.  The River Walk path to the right takes you toward downtown.  We took the path to the left which heads behind the high school.  This is a lovely shaded path with benches that follows the Animus River.  It is a wonderful place to wander and seems to extend for many miles.  We walked about 1-1/2 miles. The beginning of the path had many bikers.  The path forked and we crossed the river and it was quieter.  There were several people fishing along the river.  Charming walk.
