We saw a ridiculous number of animals on this 7-1/2 hour cruise with Major Marine Tours.  We saw Dall's porpoises, Steller's sea lions, orcas, Dall's sheep, a black bear, sea otters, bald eagles, harbor seals and lots of birds.  The orcas were especially exciting.  There was a pod and they were hunting incoming salmon.  One rolled and slapped its tail.  The Dall's sheep were a new animal for me.  They were perched on bare rocks.  We saw about ten in small groups, mothers with babies, and singles.  The cruise supplied binoculars.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska!  We also saw glaciers.  The cruise is very well organized.  We were assigned a table as home base.  Lunch was a simple, but filling.  It was wonderful weather-wise.  It was comfortable to be outside of the deck for most of the cruise.  We got a cookie at the end.  The cruise went from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM.  The harbor has plenty of restaurants, so we got dinner in minutes.

The tour was $239 per person, including lunch.  It was an excellent value.  It was an amazing experience!
