Alaska Botanical Garden and lunch at Moose's Tooth Pizza in Anchorage

On our way from Seward, we drove directly to the Alaska Botanical Garden.  These pretty gardens have plant species from around the world that are suitable to Anchorage's wet climate.  It was early June and it was surprisingly warm - good to have a jacket, but no need for a hat or mittens.  I especially enjoyed the rock garden with tiny, but charming alpine flowers.  There are some striking works of sculpture, including two huge ravens.

We worked up an appetite and went to Moose's Tooth Pub and Pizzeria.  We got there early, before the place got packed.  There is a large and fun selection of pizzas, including lots of vegetarian options.  We had the Forager. Yummy!
