Seabreeze Chocolates in San Diego, CA

These flavor bombs are also very pretty.  Seabreeze Chocolates offer bean to bar chocolates by processing beans on site into chocolate and then creating their own candies.  Their fillings range from daring (black sesame praline) to traditional.  The base of each chocolate is thick, so each candy offers a hefty amount of chocolate.  The centers are flavorful and not overly sweet.  The shop smells entrancing.

These are not cheap.  The box above was $30.  Because of the generous base, a chocolate makes a hearty dessert for one with a cup of coffee or a glass of red wine.  They also make for an impressive gift!  There are several sugar-free options as well.

I also bought a bag of cacao husk tea.  I didn't enjoy it brewed as a tea, but it is an amazing addition to coffee.  I brewed a small pot with one scoop of coffee and one scoop of the cacao husks and the result was very rich with much more complexity.  It didn't taste distinctly of chocolate, it tasted like very rich coffee.

The small shop is located just off Highway 56, near the intersection with I-5.  This small mall also has Royal India and a Pavilions.
