Mission San Francisco Solano in Sonoma, CA

 Since returning to California I've been on a mission to see missions.  They played a important role in the history of California.  They also contain photographs and artifacts of the indigenous peoples of the region.  We stopped in at the northernmost mission:  San Francisco Solano.  It was founded in 1823.  It was absolutely pouring, so we didn't see much of the outside.  The chapel is modest, but very pretty.  The mission is part of a state park.
