Bread Belly, San Francisco
In a modest storefront, BreadBelly is waiting. This amazing cafe serves Asian-inspired California food. I had the "kaya toast" - this was a delicious toast of milk bread spread with srikaya (a coconut jam) flavored with pandan. So green and so satisfying. I wanted to try the persimmon grilled cheese sandwich too, but it was just too much food. Our group had the shrimp'wich, scallion pancakes and the cauliflower soup.
It is no surprise that there is a second location planned for Dog Patch.
