Sea Ranch Chapel in Sea Ranch, CA
The Sea Ranch Chapel is a tiny, but beautiful non=denominational space created by James Hubbell. The chapel was commissioned to honor Kurt Ditzler, a Naval aviator and artist.
James Hubbell is a well-known California artist. best known for the use of natural forms in his work. The striking design of the chapel was based on the architecture of a snail's shell. Hubbell works in many media, but is best known for his architecture and his work in stained glass.
The chapel is located just off Rte. 1, between Point Area and Bodega Bay. The grounds are also beautiful, harmonizing with the natural landscape.
