Galaxy Taco near La Jolla Shores

 Galaxy Taco offers a fun menu of Mexican food, salads, hamburgers and great drinks, just a few blocks from La Jolla Shores.  The street, Avenida del la Playa, has lots of restaurants.  Part of the street is closed down to allow for outdoor dining and I hope this continues.  Galaxy Taco has an semi-enclosed patio and also open-air patio - perfect for La Jolla dining.

I started with a cocktail with lavender and grapefruit and then had a hamburger with a horchata "milkshake".  My friends had guacamole, a rice bowl and salads.  It was a very nice way to spend the early evening after an afternoon walk on the beach.

They make their tortillas with a blue masa from Oaxaca and sell it for home use.  I bought about an 1/8 of a pound with dreams of making birria with blue tortillas.
