Tahquitz Canyon, Palm Springs

 The waterfall is seasonal and they told us that wasn't much flow.  The hike through Tahquitz Canyon is worth it any time of the year.  It is a short hike to the falls through an impressive canyon.  We saw lizards, hummingbirds and a phainopepla.  The botanical features are also interesting.  It is an easy hike with some uneven rock steps.  

The visitor center offers a helpful guide to the features, which are marked on the trail.  There is ample paved parking.
