Karak tea at Shay Madhboot, Abu Dhabi

I wasn't familiar with karak tea until I read about it in a book about things to do in Abu Dhabi.  It is black tea, brewed strong, then flavored with cardamom with evaporated milk as a sweetener.  We had the one with saffron on top.  It was really good and would make an excellent dessert drink.

We had ours at Shay Madhboot.  It is a small cafe in a very small shopping area, near the Thai Embassy The blinds are closed to block out the intense morning sun.  They also serve snacks and light meals.
