Itran, a Moroccan restaurant in Abu Dhabi

Itran is a pretty restaurant overlooking the water in an upscale mall, near the Shangri-La.  My favorite dish was a classic -bastila - a phyllo crust stuffed with spicy chicken.  Moroccan cuisine uses cinnamon as a savory seasoning.  The brown stripes are cinnamon and the white is powdered sugar, so the dish is savory with a touch of sweet.  The restaurant also offers a seafood and vegetarian version.  The food was excellent.  I wanted to try dessert but we ordered too much food and we stuffed.  The restaurant was so beautiful, I ended up with more pictures of it than the food.
