It was cool and there were some dreary days, but London was wonderful over the holidays. Each neighborhood had unique street lighting. All the shops and most pubs were nicely decorated. It was more elegant than in the U.S., where a bar might just have a string of colored lights. There were a lot of Christmas markets with special items like holiday chocolates, festive desserts and gift items. There are several skating rinks set up around the city and pop-up shops.
We were in London just before Christmas and then back through for the New Year. The days before New Year's Eve were much, much busier with tourists everywhere.
