The United States of America can be divided into biscuit states and non-biscuit states. I currently live in a non-biscuit state, so I was happy to find myself in Missouri (a biscuit state) at
Colleen's Cookies. It is actually a breakfast and lunch place with a wonderful bakery. The setting is very St. Louis - a Victorian tea room look with high tin ceilings, glass chandeliers and large windows. I had a nice pear and goat cheese salad with a side of a large biscuit with jam. It was an excellent biscuit. My friend had a kale salad. I had planned on taking some cookies home, but I was so full from my excellent biscuit, I couldn't think about food.
