Acorn describes itself "eclectic and modern" - very accurate. The menu includes trendy items such as kale & apple salad; beet & chicory salad; and brussels sprouts. It also includes more unusual items such as panang curry, pork schnitzel; and shrimp & grits. Two of us ordered a grain bowl with quinoa, farro, speck, strawberries and more. We also ordered a delicious green tea/lavender mocktail. There were several enticing mocktails, as well as beer and wine. Others ordered the panang curry; brussels sprouts and then the kale & apple salad. The food was delicious!
The restaurant is located in the Source building, a trendy space with several restaurants, a florist, a beer and wine shop, a home decor store and more. There is construction on Brighton Boulevard, but it is worth the effort to negotiate the traffic cones.
