offers a
thrilling ride to the top of Mount San Jacinto.
The ride is only ten minutes, but it’s another world up there.
There are great views of Palm Springs, the
valley and all the way to the Salton Sea.
There are some short hikes and also hikes of many miles and camping.
The tram station at the top of the mountain
has a snack bar, museum, discovery trail and a short movie.
It is much cooler up there, so come
prepared.
The line for the tram can be
long, so come and park 15-20 minutes before the first tram, to avoid a long
wait.
